Alice graduated from the University of Oregon School of Nursing and served most of her 36 year career as an open heart surgery nurse. 24 years at the University of Oregon Medical School, 10 years at the Portland Veterans Administration Hospital in Portland, and 2 years at Willamette Falls Hospital in Oregon City.
A liking for military history led her eventually to military dishware that started with VA china, US Army Medical china, and then her favorite, US Navy china, hollowware, and silverware. When she finally collected so much she couldn't display it anymore the Cannon's parlayed the extra china and toy soldiers and embarked on a second career as Antiques and Collectibles Dealers, where they have built up quite a list of customers and many dealers who have become close friends.

This is me with our turn of the 19th Century US Navy wash basin, water pitcher and slop jar. Also we have our miniature poodle Scully. She was 2 in February 2004. She goes to shows with us when they will let her in our booth. If you are looking for a miniature poodle you should contact Orista Poodles at 541-784-2340 in Tenmile, Oregon. You can also email them at www.orista@yahoo.com. If Scully is any indication they have great, loving, energetic, and proud miniature poodles.
